Rooster

Something for a friend's kitchen.  She told me she collected roosters, her kitchen was mostly green and white and her cabinets were brown.  This is what I came up with.

Altered Frame

I needed a gift for a friend's 80th birthday.  I wanted to make something so I went searching through my stash of goodies.  I found this frame that originally had words on it and was brown.  So I went to work on it: covered it with paper, created a flower, added other flowers, dew drops, and a butterfly.  I didn't get to finish it like I planned due to my computer's hard drive crashing (BUMMER!).  I was going to put her name on the top left where the big blank space is. But oh well.  I received a very nice thank you card from her so I hope she likes it and will enjoy displaying her family's photos. 

I forgot to take a picture of the frame before I put her photos in it, hence the 2 black squares.

Western Theme

I finished another project for my friend's boys' room she is re-doing in a Western Theme (see gallery if you missed the first one).  This is a 3D frame.  It doesn't show very well in the photo but it has lots of texture and layers.

Man, this blog thing is harder than I thought it would be to keep up with.  I haven't been very good at checking in every day - needless to say.

I've finished my Christmas book and hopefully will be ether putting photos or a video of it on here soon.

I'm helping a friend re-do her boys' room in a Western Theme.  I added the first item on the Gallery page.  Be sure and check it out.

Well I have to go create other things for her and will put up photos as soon as I can.

Just wanted to leave a new post because it's been too long since my last one.  I'm working on a word book, Believe; our 2011 Christmas photos.  I hope to post some photos of it soon.

LO photo for challenges

Happy Sunday!!  Learning more about blogging and challenges but a LOT more to learn.  Lovin' the journey!  Here's a layout I did that captures one Sunday afternoon we had with the family.  The whole family comes to Nana's house (that's me) after church for Sunday dinner.  It's the best day of the week.  Anyway this day we all went outside to enjoy the marvelous sunshine.  My daughter, Kayla, is an amazing photographer and, as usual, any time with friends and family is picture time.  On this day she started taking photos and then the grandsons wanted to join in so it ended up being a photo shoot with one of our horses as the background. Kayla is in the pixs so these were taken by her BF Tioko or me.  The name of the layout is "Kayla Heart Flower".  She adores all her nephews!!  I used the pixs of her and the boys to make the flower on the 2nd page, that's the reason some of their photos are upside.  Hope you like it!

My new blog!

Well, this my very first blog so if you see something that is 'wacky', please let me know and I'll try to figure out how to fix it.  I really created this blog so I can join in on the blog hops and challenges that all the crafters out in the www-land are doing.  They are always asking for your URL and I didn't have one so I decided to get one. And here it is.
